When I get anxious I go for a walk.
It’s what started my hiking journey, and it’s something you’ll read me talk about over and over again.
At first, I just wanted to be outside. Then I realized I had health anxiety, so that turned into my wanting to run to get fit. Well, I realized I didn’t like to run, but one day I came to this park to get some exercise and immediately fell in love with this park and the scenery that is offered.
It’s the Historic Stagecoach Park in Buda, TX. It has a really basic trail system, but it has a playground and a small pond that you can only look at for now. There is also a Scout section for meetings and apparently camping, but it doesn’t look like that the site has been used for that in a while.

The biggest loop is about 1.5 miles, so you’ll need to mix up your routes to get some good hiking in, but this place is great to have nice scenery to look at while ‘walking it out’ as I like to say. I’ve seen plenty of deer, roadrunners, and the occasional snake.
The window in the featured picture is towards the beginning, and I always like to get my stretches in here just for its aesthetics. Check this place out if you’re ever in the area.
